Your 2006 Lanark Highlanders - Division Champions!
Welcome to the Lanark Highlanders
Rugby Football Club
History records Perth, Ontario, as a unique military settlement named
after the town of Perth in Scotland. After the War of 1812, Perth was
established in the spring of 1816 as part of a strategic defense plan
against invasion from the south.
In honour of Perth’s Scottish military past we
have named our rugby football club the Lanark Highlanders. We hope in
some small way to continue Perth’s tradition of Gaelic warriors
– Cha-Gheill*!
(*Gaelic war-cry – ‘never give up’)
The Lanark Highlanders play in the Eastern Ontario Rugby
Union Division 2.
